There are many different outdoor activities in the Lake District that anyone can try, and below I will give you a few pointers on where to look, to find the best of the Lake District outdoor activities.

Lake District Kayaking

Whether kayaking in the Lake District on one of the many rivers, or kayaking on Windermere, kayaking on Derwent Water, or kayaking on any of the other Lake District lakes, there is kayaking available for everyone, young or old! You can find many kayaking Lake District companies that can either hire you a kayak and all the safety kit so that you can explore yourself, or provide some kayaking tuition or coaching for yourself, group or family. There is a lot or rock climbing available in the Lake District on the many rocky outcrops on the sides of the glacial valleys.
