Our stunning deep water quarry tucked away at the heart of our site is where our open canoeing, kayaking, and raft building sessions take place!

Team canoeing on the deep water quarryThe quarry is equipped with separate male and female changing rooms. We provide full safety equipment as well as wetsuits which can be borrowed to allow you to fully enjoy the water without feeling the cold.

We use a variety of open Canadian canoes that you can paddle tandem or solo. Our fully qualified instructors will keep a watchful eye over you as you learn the vital strokes needed to control the canoe. You'll get a real taste of adventure as you enjoy the scenery and relaxing atmosphere of the quarry from your canoe.

For the slightly nervous or more team orientated groups we raft 2 Canadians together to create a boat suitable for 4-6 people to paddle. These boats cannot be capsized and are ideal for races, moving around and playing games in and generally having fun if you fancy a wilder session!

All Canadian canoeing sessions can be tailored to meet your needs whether you would like to learn skills and techniques that can be progressed in the future, possibly to one of our open water adventures or weather you simply want to splash around, play games and get wet!!

Prices start at £25 per adult and £15 per child (min group number 3) for a 2 hour taster session or as part of a multi day for £45 per adult and £28 per child.

We also offer offsite river adventures on the River Fal and other waters in Cornwall to test your canoeing in the ‘wild’. These days will however require you to have some previous canoeing skills.

Where is my Kayak?Kayaking is a close cousin to canoeing and they are often confused! Here at BF Adventure we offer both ‘sit – in’ or ‘closed cockpit’ kayaks as well as the ‘sit on tops’ that you see many people paddling along the coastline. As with the open canoeing you will get to experience our beautiful canoeing quarry at its best as you will be close to the water and able to manoeuvre about to get as up close and personal with nature as possible.

Our 2 hour taster sessions are tailored to meet your needs and designed to be fun whilst introducing you to basic skills of kayaking to enable you to paddle forward, turn in a circle, stop and get out of your boat. During the session you will have opportunity to play games, splash and race each other in a crazy dash across the quarry!

Rock Climbing has exploded in popularity over recent years. Thousands of people now enjoy this fantastic extreme sport which gets you out and appreciating the great outdoors.

Outdoor Rock Climbing is a very rewarding activity; it is both physically and technically challenging and also great fun. Our Goodygrane Activity centre in Cornwall offers a range of natural granite climbs, ranging in level for all abilities.

Off-site rock climbing in CornwallOur training wall caters for beginners, whereas the ‘slabs’ and more advanced climbs based in our Adventure Quarry will push some to their limits. Climbing is fantastic for confidence boosting, creating that adrenalin buzz and reaching the top. Compete in time trials, feel your way up with the ‘blindfold challenge’ or even attempt the ultimate challenge of climbing one handed. Are you up for the challenge?

Rock climbing can be booked as a taster session, as part of an activity day, or you can choose one of our courses for a more in-depth experience. The taster session is designed as a basic introduction with the emphasis on understanding and learning basic climbing & bouldering techniques. Our intermediate courses are for those who have climbed before and would like to increase their skills and knowledge.

Off-site Climbing

We also offer off-site climbing sessions and courses at popular places like the Trewavas Head, Cheesewring Quarry, Cligga Quarry and Sennen. Here you can experience climbing in different situations and experience our magnificent local scenery, from the desolate moorland settings to the crashing waves on the Cornish cliffs.
